Monthly deep dive into a fitness skill by SFA instructors to develop understanding and physical competency in varying movements and topics.

Skill Clinics are held roughly once a month on varying movements and topics. For 30 to 45 minutes, instructors will lead a deep dive into one skill to develop understanding and physical competency. Anticipate moving around, practicing drills and trying new things.
Participants must be 18 years of age and older (17 years if Active Duty).

Saturday, July 10 | Goal Setting - To Be Rescheduled
*Discussion and lecture style, this Skill Clinic will cover methods for focusing your time spent in the gym to better work towards achieving your goals. Topics covered will also include how to better self-assess and define fitness-related goals.
6 p.m. Tuesdays, July 27 and August 3 and 10 | Mobility, Stability & Coordination
Bodyweight, resistance bands and balance drills, this three part series is capped at 14 participants for each session. Participation in all three sessions is not required, participate in one, two or all three.
Saturday, July 31 at 9 a.m. | Stretching: Optimizing Technique
Cover active and passive stretching with standing and ground-based techniques.
Saturday, August 7 at 9 a.m. | Olympic Lifting: Pulling From the Floor
Increase power delivery to the bar and improve safety and efficiency by covering how to pull from the floor when Olympic lifting.
Registration Information
Skill Clinics are capped at 20 participants* and are first-come, first-served.
*HPCON status may affect maximum capacity for participation.
Check-in at the Front Desk of Turner Fitness Center on the day of the Skill Clinic.
